Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day, you'll be involved in the following (plus some other activities):

• Being a fun and friendly brand ambassador of Black Star Pastry - with the ability to forge connections with customers.
• Having a thorough knowledge of all product offerings, in order to be able to accurately advise customers - including pricing, ingredients, etc.
• Confidently making food and beverage recommendations to customers anticipating their needs and wants.
• Participating in the pre-service preparation of food and beverage options.
• Ensuring a consistent quality and presentation of food meeting the high BSP standards.
• Being familiar with food and beverage service etiquette, serving all food and beverage in a professional manner and to the required standards.
• Polishing of silverware, glassware and cutlery as needed.
• Maintaining appropriate level of knowledge and certification in Food & Safety standards .

• You have demonstrated experience working in a similar environment.
• You are celebrated for your fabulous Barista skills - confident even.
• You love keeping yourself busy, able to demonstrate your skills in multi-tasking
• You have completed the online Food Handler Basics certification, and can demonstrate exceptional Food Safety.
• You're excited to be a positive ambassador of the BSP brand.
• This isn't a requirement, but let's face it - a LOVE of cake a bonus!

Our claim to fame is the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, a dessert that has taken social media by storm and earned recognition from the New York Times as "the world's most Instagrammed cake".
